This house
was one of several in Blake Park designed by Harry Ramsey. The first
residents were William J. and Louise M. Dunlay. William (born New
York 1889) was in the lumber business. He and his wife Louise (born
c1891) were listed at this address in the Street List in 1928 and
1929, after which they moved to Newton.
The next
family, that of Arthur D. and Julia F. Ronimus, was listed here
from 1930 until the late 1940s. Arthur Ronimus (born 1881) was treasurer
of a men's clothing manufacturer. He and his wife Julia (born c1884)
had a son and a daughter. Arthur's mother Helen was also listed
with the family through 1937. John Dowd, a leather salesman, and
his wife Royal were also listed here in 1944.
